On your blog, tell us whether you would like to go and visit Tāne Mahuta one day. Be sure to tell us why you do (or do not) want to visit this endemic tree.
i would want to visit tane mahuta because it looks like a intresting tree and there is lot of facts about the Tāne Mahuta
facts
Kauri trees are an endangered type of tree that are literally a forest giant. They are absolutely huge!! Kauri trees grow naturally throughout many in the northern part of New Zealand
Zealand's largest indigenous tree, the kauri Tane Mahuta, is only 51.2m in height but 13.77m in diameter. The tallest New Zealand tree species is the kahikatea, which reaches 60m.
I am a student at Wigram Primary School. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Hi Holly,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the facts about Tāne Mahuta. What was the most interesting fact?
Also, what would be the first thing you would like to do once you visit the Waipoua Forest? I would love to take a picture hugging the tree but there is no way my arms could get around it. As you said, the diameter of its trunk is 13.77m on its own!
I would also like to camp at a nearby camping site so that I could enjoy the surrounding nature. Do you like to spend time outside in nature?
If so, what is your favourite place to visit? I would love to know :)
Looking forward to hearing back from you Holly,
Susie
